This is not a place where you can study Italian

There are plenty of other ways and places if you want to: buying a good self-study course, attending classrooms lessons in schools, getting to know Italian friends and, why not? doing it directly in the place where Italian is commonly used, Italy! So you will not find any traditional language lesson here.

This is just a place to familiarize with Italian. Let's play with music and words, let's do the 'cloze' exercise on the songs' textes. We hope that all this will prove funny, enjoyble and useful at the same time.

The blog is full of links to Youtube videos of Italian songs, famous and less famous, of all periods. The videos are preceeded by the lyrics in 'cloze' layout: some of the words are hidden to let you try to understand them, giving you the opportunity to practice your listening capabilities. 

Keys are provided at the bottom of each post, published after the publication of the cloze tests.

If you study Italian or you have plans to do it in the future, if you do not study it and will never do it in your life, you are both welcome!

The ones of you familiar with the Italian language will hopefully appreciate the lyrics.

All the others will certainly enjoy the music!
